On August 16, 1977, the world lost one of its biggest musical icons, namely Elvis Presley. Little did anyone know that on the same day, six Aussie lads from the Northern Beaches of Sydney would debut as a band.
Fast-forward 20 years later and these ambitious lads—Michael, Andrew, Kirk, Jon, Gary and Tim—would create a music catalogue the envy of their peers, seducing millions of feet onto dance floors and hitting the hearts of music fans across the far reaches of the globe.
So today, INXS Access All Areas takes pause and looks back on 13 significant milestones that shaped their ascent into the history books as one of the world’s best bands some 45 years since their debut.

There are no coincidences in life. That is my belief. I don't care if you don't agree. Nothing happens by chance. The fact that INXS performed their first gig on Elvis Presley's birthday is iconic. It also happens to be Tim Farriss's birthday. Lucky him to share a birthday with the King. Both Elvis and the young Australians proved that hard work and huge talent go a long way. Cheers to INXS!
