INXS Tribute Band to Appear at Fake Festivals UK

Fake Festivals are all-day concerts featuring a lineup of tribute bands: “6 top UK tribute bands perform at each Fake Festivals.... Professional touring acts in their own right, they provide the highlight of the days events and bring a true summer music festival experience with songs that everybody loves.”

 

A tribute band billed as “Fake INXS U.K.” will be appearing at the following Fake Festivals events:

  • Tynemouth, North East, 22 April 2023

  • Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire, 03 June 2023

  • Harrogate, North Yorkshire, 15 July 2023

  • Carlisle, Cumbria, 12 August 2023

New Rocktober 2022 Vinyl Re-Releases

Rhino Records has announced two new INXS vinyl re-releases for Record Store Day 2022 on 28th October 2022. One is a Rocktober Limited Edition Bluejay Opaque LP edition of The Swing. The other is the Rocktober Limited Edition Ultra Clear LP of Shabooh Shoobah.

 

Fans in the USA should check out the list of participating stores or the Record Store Day web site for info on preordering. Rhino Entertainment Company is the catalog division for Warner Music Group.

This Week in INXS History

Saturday, 24th October 1987

The single that shook the world! On 24th October 1987, INXS released their single “Need You Tonight.” It is the only INXS single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. It also achieved their highest charting position in the United Kingdom, where the song reached number two on the UK Singles Chart in November 1988.
